The
Executive Secretary of the Borno State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency, Engr.
Mohammed Kabir Wanori FNSE,
undertook a crucial assessment visit on 24 june, 2024 to the newly
constructed Benishiekh Digital Literacy Center in Kaga Local Government
Area. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the progress of
construction and prepare for the center's imminent operational launch.
Accompanied by Board Members to the Agency,
DrMustapha Tijjani Bashir and
Zannah Lawan Ajimi,
Engr. Wanori inspected the facilities and infrastructure of the
Benishiekh Digital Literacy Center. The center, aimed at fostering
digital skills and education among the local population, holds
significant promise for enhancing technological literacy in the region.
During
the visit, Engr. Wanori emphasized the agency's commitment to ensuring
that the center meets the highest standards of functionality and
accessibility. He expressed satisfaction with the construction progress
thus far and highlighted plans to finalize operational readiness in the
coming month.
In
addition to the Benishiekh Digital Literacy Center, the executive
secretary also toured the Computer Center of Aisha Buhari Model School
located in Benishiekh. This secondary visit underscored the agency's
broader initiative to integrate digital education into formal schooling,
ensuring that students have access to modern technological resources.
