INTEGRAL UNIVERSITY, INDIA VISITS BORNO STATE INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY AGENCY (BICTDA)

In alignment with His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, CON, mni, FNSE, FNIAE, the Executive Governor of Borno State's twenty-five (25) year development plan, and to enhance digital literacy, capacity building, and collaboration for the digital transformation of Borno State, a delegation from Integral University of India, led by Pro-Chancellor Prof. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, visited the Borno State Information and Communications Technology Development Agency (BICTDA).

Accompanying Prof. Akhtar were Dr. Ghazali Sami from the Integral University India, Prof. Mohammed Sadiq and Prof. I.Z Khan from University of Maiduguri, along with Engr. Al-Mustapha Bello, representing the Tech Solution African Project.
The delegation received a warm welcome from BICTDA's Executive Secretary, Engr. Mohammed A.Kabir Wanori FNSE, who delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the agency's mandate and progress since its establishment. Also present were Associate Prof. Mustapha Tijjani, Zanna Lawan Ajimi, and other team members of BICTDA.
The primary aim of the visit was to explore potential partnerships and collaborative efforts between Integral University, the Tech Solution African Project, and BICTDA, aiming to advance ICT development in Borno State. This collaborative approach seeks to propel the state's technological progress in E-education, research, capacity building, and scholarship in critical ICT fields. BICTDA and Integral University will finalize modalities and terms of reference for collaboration in preparation for the possible signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. Tech Solution Africa will collaborate with BICTDA in capacity building and Digital literacy.

The delegation commended His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, CON, mni, FNSE, FNIAE, the Executive Governor of Borno State, for establishing the agency and digital literacy centers across many local governments in the state.
This collaborative effort is poised to significantly impact the state's technological landscape and empower Borno State to compete on a global scale.
